Very few people bring a boat, fishing equipment and tackle, and local knowledge of the Kenai River when visiting Alaska. That is why many people employ the services of a licensed professional guide. By booking a trip with Alaskan Fish Guides you will be provided with: - An experienced, licensed and insured professional guide
- All necessary equipment, tackle and bait (when allowed)
- Transportation on a powered, custom-built, 20' aluminum boat, equipped with USCG approved safety equipment
- Fish care and cleaning (processing, such as cutting, wrapping, freezing and shipping available)
- An adventure on the world famous Kenai River or other areas of Alaska that most just dream about
| What you should bring:
- Current State of Alaska fishing license and King Stamp (available at most stores and convenience stores) Alaska Department of Fish and Game Fee Schedule (this will make a new window... simply close the chart window to return; you may have to disable a pop-up blocker if present)
- You can even click HERE to obtain your license and King Stamp online...
- Warm clothing (even in July, particularly for the morning trips)
- Hat
- Water proof footwear
- Rain gear
- Snacks and beverages (non-alcoholic please)
- Sunglasses
- Camera (still, digital, or video)
| Gratuities: One of the most common questions I am asked (and the most awkward, I might add) relates to tipping etiquette. Tips are not expected (but certainly appreciated) on any fishing trip with Alaskan Fish Guides. We will try our hardest to give you an enjoyable, and yet a unique Alaskan fishing experience. Tips are a way of saying, "Thank you for a wonderful experience." We have received tips on days that we caught fish and days that we didn't. The tips varied from nothing, all the way to the price of the charter. If you desire to show your gratitude to our guides through tipping (or for any guides for that matter), the "normal" etiquette is somewhere between 10% and 20% (similar to what you would pay at a restaurant). Tipping is absolutely optional! |
